SpringandRichwedding Wedding Updates is a text-messaging program run by SpringandRichwedding for the guests invited to our wedding. We only text guests who have agreed to receive texts, and agreeing is never required to attend or RSVP. There are two ways a guest can opt in.
Every invited household gets a private link to its save the date and invitation. The “Your details” section on that page lets each guest add or update their phone number, with a separate, optional checkbox for texts. The checkbox is unticked by default and the form can be saved without it. This is exactly what guests see:

We personally ask the guests we know whether we may text them about the wedding, in person or by phone. We tell them the texts come from SpringandRichwedding, that message frequency varies, that message and data rates may apply, and that they can reply STOP at any time. We record their consent only if they say yes; guests who don’t agree are never texted.
Every guest receives this confirmation immediately, whichever way they opted in. Replying STOP opts out at any time, and HELP returns contact details. Changing the phone number on file clears consent until the guest opts in again for the new number.
